Overview of St. Francis Manor & Seeland Park (6 minute video)
St. Francis Manor in Grinnell, Iowa, is a nonprofit skilled and long-term care nursing facility with a dedicated transitional care unit and Rehabilitation Clinic. It manages Seeland Park, an active 55+ independent living community situated on a 31-acre campus. When its new building phase (Phase VI) is complete, Seeland Park will have 150 independent-living residences.
St. Francis offers a variety of community services, including home healthcare; speech, occupational and physical therapy; and a number of other conveniences. St. Francis Manor Foundation is a public charity that supports St. Francis Manor in its charitable endeavors.
The Rehabilitation Clinic at St. Francis Manor provides rehabilitation services on both an inpatient basis to residents of St. Francis Manor and on an outpatient basis to the residents of Grinnell and surrounding communities. S.H.A.P.E. Fitness at Seeland Park is all about staying healthy and active while remaining positive and energetic. It is specifically designed for individuals age 55+ who wish to increase or maintain their flexibility, balance, cardiovascular endurance, strength and coordination.
Plans are currently underway for the construction of a two-story assisted living community, the Hammond Center for Assisted Living, expected to be completed by the Summer of 2018. This will add 20 assisted living apartments to the campus and complete the continuum of care offered: independent living; in-home healthcare services; skilled nursing and rehabilitation care; assisted living; and long-term nursing care.
