Healthcare Center - St. Francis

St. Francis Manor, a community-owned non-profit healthcare center licensed for 78 beds, has been serving the greater Poweshiek County area since 1977 by providing both skilled and long-term nursing care. Between 2010 and 2013, a $5.25 million construction and renovation project included remodeling of all the resident rooms and common areas and also added a commercial-sized kitchen and rehabilitation clinic for in-patient and out-patient therapy services.

In a bright home-like atmosphere, our staff insist upon and provide the highest healthcare standards.  Management and staff get to know the residents and their families personally, and treat each individual with the highest amount of dignity, care, and respect.

Recuperation after a Hospitalization

Our dedicated transitional care unit provides the skilled care and rehabilitative services that many individuals need to safely transition from hospital to home following surgery, a joint replacement, acute illness, stroke, accident or other medical conditions.

Maintaining Health

We encourage maximum independence by our residents, focusing on their individual abilities and goals.  Restorative care provides individualized programs designed to help residents maintain their balance and enhance their physical activities at no extra charge. Residents are often able to maintain a more active lifestyle with these restorative programs, including participating in off-campus activities with family members.
