Congratulations to St. Francis Manor employees Denise Cheney and Kory Probasco who have recently been promoted to Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, respectively. “We are pleased to have these two caring and compassionate nurses leading our nursing department,” commented Executive Administrator Dion Schrack.
Can you imagine an entire river that is bright emerald green? Chicago’s tradition of dying the Chicago River for St. Patrick’s Day has been a longstanding tradition. Seeland Park resident June Watkins shares the story and what a treat it is to visit Chicago on the luckiest holiday of them all.
As we enter March, Cyclone fans for life Rosie and Don Schrack Jr. recall their Annual weekend traveling to the Big 8 Tournament. From MVF (Most Valuable Fan) to pep rallies, they knew how to celebrate the madness. Enjoy some favorite Cyclone statistics from the tournament as well!
Aside from the recent cold burst to hit the south, can you imagine winters full of blossoms, oranges and lemons, a vegetable market, and a lovely view of mountains? These are just a few of Seeland Park resident Marilyn Strovers favorite things about snowbirding to Arizona each winter.

To say Betty is well-known in the Grinnell community is an understatement as she and late husband Montie owned and managed several successful businesses during their careers and were always willing to help others as well as lend a hand with community events. GREAT NEWS…126 total people received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at a clinic held on Friday, January 8th in the Hawn Center! Pharmacists from Walgreens administered the Pfizer vaccine to 67 staff members, 19 Hammond Center tenants and 40 St. Francis Manor residents.
