Hazel Lease

By Hazel Lease

My husband and I moved to the Seeland Park campus in 2007.  After his death, I was able to continue living in our 1400 sq ft home with assistance from the Community Services of St. Francis staff. I’m very familiar with the home health army of workers. I can tell they like working here and that they like old people! Positivity within the staff shows every time I’ve used their help.

In 2022 at the age of 95, I decided it was time to downsize and I moved from my duplex to an apartment in the 8-plex. The home healthcare staff was a tremendous help in assisting me with this transition.

It gives me peace of mind knowing I have a home health aide coming to assist me on a daily basis. I often have meals delivered and ride in the van to in-town appointments as well as the grocery store.  All of these services have helped make my life easier and allowed me to continue living independently in my own home.
