The St. Francis Manor community gathered on Thursday, November 13, for a heartfelt Veterans Remembrance Program honoring the veterans who live—and lived—on our campus. Residents, families, and friends came together in gratitude and reflection to celebrate their service and sacrifice.

This October, in celebration of National Physical Therapy Month, we recognize the life-changing work of physical therapists like Jon Duke, PT, and Tim Stahl, PTA. Their dedication has helped patients like Mike Beck achieve remarkable recoveries—proving the power of expert care and determination.

Over 300 Hammond Center for Assisted Living tenants, Seeland Park and St. Francis Manor residents, staff members and families united for an unforgettable Grandparents Day Celebration on September 20. Executive Administrator Dion Schrack’s vision for a campus-wide event inspired Fitness Director Callie McCaslen and Activity Directors Tori Funke, Cadie Horn, Julie Underhill and Miranda Anderson to coordinate a joyous carnival-themed celebration bringing residents, tenants, staff, and their families together.

Seeland Park, an active 55+ Life Plan Community located on the east side of Grinnell, invites the public to its Summer Tour of Homes on Sunday, June 22, from 1:30 to 4:00 PM.  Seven independent living residences of various sizes will be open to tour, including an available single-family home. Seeland Park also has four lots available for anyone interested in building their perfect retirement home!

The Easter Bunny made a joyful stop at St. Francis Manor for the annual Easter Egg Hunt, with over 1,200 eggs, sweet treats, and family fun for all ages. See the adorable moments and festive highlights!

The Hammond Center for Assisted Living celebrated its 6-year anniversary on March 4 with a special party for tenants and staff. The anniversary theme was “It is year #SIX, Glad you are part of our MIX.”  

An entertaining game of “Tenant Jeopardy” was presented by Manager/RN Sammi Bryan which included something unique about each tenant for everyone to guess “Who am I.”  According to Sammi, this person loves Christmas almost as much as she does! She loves her jewelry, especially rings. She also enjoys scratching off lottery tickets (Betty Rowell).

Seeland Park resident Madolyn Braley is 100 years young! Madolyn moved into her large Seeland Park duplex just over 10 years ago where she continues to reside and still enjoys attending campus activities. St. Francis Manor, Seeland Park, and the Hammond Center for Assisted Living are inviting the public to a community “Fish Fry” on Friday, March 7.  All-you-can-eat fish, french fries, and cole slaw will be served between 5:00 and 6:30 PM in the St. Francis Manor Social Center located off St. Francis Drive north of 4^th Avenue in Grinnell.  Attendees will be able to dine in or pick up carry-out meals.
