Connie Shebeck

By Connie Shebeck

I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS) in 2006.  For me, that means it gets a little harder each year to use my right side.  With the help of Tim, Jon and the rest of the PT staff at the Rehabilitation Clinic at St. Francis Manor, I am maintaining and slowly improving my balance and ability to walk. Their LiteGait System benefits so many people and has made it possible for me to walk without the fear of falling by helping with my balance and grip.  Within a month of beginning therapy with the LiteGait System and with the therapist’s help, I was able to walk with two walking sticks which provide more support than canes. A couple of weeks later, with the therapist’s help, I was able to walk with two canes which is much harder. Having a progressive disease means I need to work continuously to maintain what I have gained.  Tim, Jon and the rest of the staff never seem to tire of helping and encouraging me.  I highly recommend the PT staff at the Rehabilitation Clinic at St. Francis Manor for your physical therapy needs!
