Lori Van Roekel and Out-Patient Rehabilitation Therapy

By Lori Van Roekel

As the result of a fall in early 2014, Lori Van Roekel began experiencing occasional pain in her shoulder.  She recognized that it was finally time to do something about it after her shoulder pain became more persistent during a weight training program in the fall of 2016. “Upon learning that physical therapy at St. Francis Manor was not just for residents, I was referred to Tim Stahl and Jon Duke,” said Lori. “Together they worked on my shoulder to begin bringing me some relief. I ended up needing minor surgery followed by additional out-patient physical therapy.”

“I can’t say enough good things about the skills and professionalism of Tim and Jon as they worked on my shoulder with a three-year-old injury.  They worked hard to put together a program specifically designed for me that has finally given me freedom of movement, freedom from pain, and FINALLY a good night’s sleep!” said Lori.  “I would highly recommend the Rehabilitation Clinic at St. Francis Manor to anyone needing physical therapy.  They made me feel comfortable and encouraged even on days when I was feeling pretty low.  No more sitting on the sidelines watching the fun activities around me—I’m now able to enjoy yoga again and to get down on the floor to play with my 17-month-old granddaughter!”
