Easter Egg Hunt at St. Francis Manor

April 10, 2023

The Easter Bunny hopped over to St. Francis Manor in Grinnell for its outdoor Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8. Many St. Francis residents and Hammond Center for Assisted Living tenants assisted with filling over 1,200 Easter eggs and then enjoyed watching the children hunt for the eggs.

Great-grandchildren of St. Francis Manor residents and Hammond Center tenants, children and grandchildren of staff members, as well as children from the community were divided into 3 age groups for the hunt. Pictured are children in the birth to 3-year-old age group gathering their Easter eggs as St. Francis Manor residents Bev Creps, Dorothy Wiseman and Margaret Clark watch.

The Easter Bunny visited with residents and tenants prior to the egg hunt stopping to pose with St. Francis Manor resident Marge Rempp (pictured left) and Hammond Center for Assisted Living tenant Marilyn Cummings (pictured right).

St. Francis Manor resident Lavonne Edmonds (pictured below) had several family members with her which included 4 generations—Pictured L-R: Great-granddaughters Klara and Makenna Stahl, daughter Janice Epperson, great-granddaughter Brielle Stahl, Lavonne Edmonds, Easter Bunny, and granddaughter Janelle Stahl.
