From Grandkids to Great-Grandmas: Easter Memories Made Together

May 20, 2025

The Easter Bunny hopped over to St. Francis Manor in Grinnell for its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19. Many St. Francis residents and Hammond Center for Assisted Living tenants assisted with filling over 1,200 Easter eggs earlier in the week and then enjoyed watching the children gather the eggs.

Following the egg hunt, the children had fun decorating Easter cookies and having their photos taken with the Easter Bunny.  St. Francis Manor resident Diane Criswell was pleased to have many family members join her for the festivities including three of her kids and their spouses, six of her grandchildren and her sister, Linda Winchell who resides at the Hammond Center for Assisted Living. Four generations of Seeland Park resident Joan Stark’s family also enjoyed the afternoon together. The Easter Bunny visited with residents and tenants prior to the egg hunt stopping to pose with St. Francis Manor resident Maxine Mouchka and Hammond Center for Assisted Living tenant Dorothy Peak.
