Free Lunch & Learn Educational Program

April 15, 2026

The Rehabilitation Clinic at St. Francis Manor is pleased to announce an educational Lunch & Learn program, open to the public, which will address the important topic of Maintaining Independence—Types of Devices, Why Safety Matters, and How Can Therapy Help? This program will provide attendees with valuable insights into how the proper use of assistive equipment in the home can enhance independence, safety, and confidence in daily living.

The Lunch & Learn program is scheduled on Wednesday, April 22, from 12:00 to 1:30 PM where presenters will discuss how walkers, rollator walkers, canes, and other assistive devices can support continued safety and independence for individuals and their loved ones. Physical Therapist Assistant Tim Stahl emphasizes the importance of proper fit and use of assistive devices, which can be challenging to navigate. Tim encourages attendees to participate in a hands-on walker and cane fitting activity following the presentation, which will be led by the licensed physical therapy team. The presentation will be delivered by Physical Therapy specialists from the Rehabilitation Clinic at St. Francis Manor, including Physical Therapist Ryan Dodd and Physical Therapist Assistant Tim Stahl. “We invite you to join us for a relaxing and informative session, where you can connect with our team, ask questions, and enjoy a delicious meal in a welcoming environment,” said Tim.

This complimentary Lunch & Learn program will be held in the St. Francis Manor Social Center, located north of 4th Avenue on St. Francis Drive. To reserve your seat, please contact the St. Francis Manor Administration Office at (641) 236-7592.
