Tiger Pride on Parade
The St. Francis Manor, Seeland Park and Hammond Center for Assisted Living campus showed up in full force at the Grinnell High School Homecoming Parade on October 1, and Tiger pride filled the streets. St. Francis Manor Homecoming King Bill Hansen and Queen Merilou Bivens along with Hammond Center queens Shirley Sieck and Shirley Pistulka, proudly participated in the parade. Seeland Park residents rode a float waving signs, while others rode scooters and handed out candy. Numerous staff members walked the route handing out items, and Craig Probasco and Jaxon Drake drove the two vans. “It was neat to have a number of Seeland Park residents participate in the parade who actually graduated from GHS,” remarked Executive Administrator Dion Schrack. “It was a beautiful sight of community spirit.”
