A Successful Tour of Homes!
Our Tour of Homes brought at least 49 visitors to the Seeland Park campus on June 9th! The tour showcased a single-family home and five homes updated by recent new owners. Most of the visitors were from Grinnell this year but a few came from Brooklyn, Montezuma, New Sharon and Newton.
Those who attended and assisted with the Tour of Homes also had the opportunity to enjoy some soft serve ice cream with a variety of cookies and beverages in the Social Center. The winners of the drawing for three $20 Casey’s gift cards were Julie Bartachek (Brooklyn), Heather Hastings (Grinnell), and Larry & Joyce Melsa (Grinnell).
Many thanks go to Al & Carmen Burch, Mike & Annie Campbell, John Plate, Dennis & Sherry Potter, Bob Ryan and Marcia Tarvin for opening their homes for tour; to our Seeland Park maintenance staff for having the community grounds looking so nice; to Cindy Strobel and the culinary staff for preparing refreshments; and to all of our wonderful Seeland Park volunteers and Marketing Committee members who help to make these important events possible!
